After you have figured out who you are, share yourself with the world… Enjoy x

When a soldier comes home…

Pass this around the world…

Add to it too…

When a soldier comes home, he finds it hard…

to listen to his son whine about being bored…

to keep a straight face when people complain about potholes…

to be tolerant of people who complain about the hassle of getting ready for work…

to be understanding when a co-worker complains about a bad night’s sleep…

to be silent when people pray to God for a new car…

to control his panic when his wife tells him he needs to drive slower…

to be compassionate when a businessman expresses a fear of flying…

to keep from laughing when anxious parents say they’re afraid to send their kids off to summer camp…

to keep from ridiculing someone who complains about hot weather…

to control his frustration when a colleague gripes about his coffee being cold…

to remain calm when his daughter complains about having to walk the dog…

to be civil to people who complain about their jobs…

to just walk away when someone says they only get two weeks of vacation a year…

to be forgiving when someone says how hard it is to have a new baby in the house…

The only thing harder than being a Soldier…

is loving and worrying about one or two or three or four, need I say more?

  1. Only thing harder than being a soldier is loving and worrying about one – beautiful!

  2. Wow, did you compose this? It brought a lump to my throat. Facing the civilized world is a hard challenge after living in a life or death situation. You have captured it so well. From both sides of the coin.

  3. Not all of it no, it was sent to me to add to and pass on, I really dont know who started it, I would love to see what others have added though and how it’s turned out… x

  4. Wow…that was amazing! How true! That’s something to remember the next time we find ourselves cribbing about the inconveniences of our life.It brought to mind the quote:”I cried that I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet!” It really teaches us how blessed we are! Thanks for sharing!

  5. I’m glad you liked it, and it does make you think, how easy some people have it and yet they still moan… x

  6. Beautiful and touching post. Thanks for sharing.
